Tamboran get investment and look to overturn Northern Irish Planning Policy

Important info from N. Ireland campaign against #fracking

thegasmancommeth's avatarThe Gas Man Cometh !

The latest news from Tamboran is that the mother company have had some of their shares bought by Houston American.  The deal will see Houston American take a 12.5% stake for one million dollars.    There are anti-dilution clauses and the deal is dependent on other funding.  Oh how the mighty have fallen.  When Richard Moorman was over in Ireland the proposed IPO was to value Tamboran at 150 -200 million dollars.  This latest deal values Tamboran at just 8 million. Other documents on Tamboran’s funding show that Paul Fudge (who also has interests in Cuadrilla) has provided financing to Tamboran at 20 percent interest.

In other news the wholly owned subsidiary in the UK,  Tamboran Resources UK, is to keep barristers and solicitors in the manner to which they’ve been accustomed by requesting a Judicial Review of the Strategic Planning Policy Statement released by Mark Durkan in late…

New study: Meeting carbon reduction goals economically means no nuclear power

Confirmation of what makes sense for our world!

Nuclear Information & Resource Service's avatarGreenWorld

Renewables are not only the environmental answer to climate change, they are the economic answer too. Renewables are not only the environmental answer to climate change, they are the economic answer too.

This is a short piece about a much longer piece that you will want to take a bit of time to read.

Actually, it is unfair to describe it as a “piece.” It’s a study, by Mark Cooper, who for years has been writing extensively about the transition to a clean energy future from an economist’s perspective.

Cooper examines three recent studies taking different approaches to achieving deep decarbonization of our electrical system, two that reject nuclear power as part of the means of attaining massive carbon reductions and one that accepts nuclear power and fossil fuels with carbon capture and storage (CCS) as pieces of the approach. He then lays over that two recent studies of the economics of electricity generation, along with the political structure for attaining carbon reductions established by the…

Today 11am Barclays branches in Lancaster and four other cities have been closed by protests highlighting the social and environmental impacts of the bank’s investments in fracking, coal and tar sands. Sitins and occupations of Barclays branches have taken place in Lancaster, Leeds, Sheffield, London and Oxford. The protests caused major disruption, forcing Barclays to turn away customers and close several branches. Police were called to several branches. Activists stayed for up to two hours at each of the branches. A group of students and local anti-fracking campaigners occupied the branch on Alexander Square in Lancaster University campus and held a teachin to discuss the dangers of fracking. This protest comes a few days after the beginning of Cuadrilla’s appeal of a Lancashire Country Council decision to reject two of the company’s fracking applications.

More Maize Madness: Far from being a climate change panacea, producing Biogas helps intensify its consequences

Something needs to change!

Miles King's avatara new nature blog

Tackling climate change is one of the most pressing and urgent things facing humanity, alongside (and related to) the 6th Global Extinction crisis. Some suggest that tackling Climate Change trumps all other considerations.

One of the biggest consequences of climate change facing the UK is severe flooding due to increasingly intense rainfall.

But flooding is exacerbated by unsustainable types of land-use. Maize is one of the most unsustainable and environmentally damaging crops it is possible to grow in the UK.

maize field flooded Somerset Levels Maize field, flooded.

One of the reasons for this is that Maize is harvested so late in the season that the ground is too wet to do anything with, after the harvest. So fields are left either with stubble over winter, or rough-ploughed. This field is in the Somerset Levels, the scene of intense flooding two years ago.

Maize harvesting involves a forage harvester driving up and down…

Transhumanism, no thanks!

I’ve heard about this agenda for quite a while and it is evident that our governments have been pushing the digital world on us for the last twenty years at least and it fits with the mechanical, synthetic world that is trying to dominate. We live in a technocratic world which is destroying the natural beauty of the earth. I don’t watch many Hollywood films these days or like the sexual programming which is so overt in the music industry these days! Like most things that have directed our culture over the last hundred years at least, in retrospect it appears that everything is part of a plan and organisations like the Frankfurt School from Germany, which then developed in the United States and the Tavistock Institute from London have been carrying out social engineering on the population – a good book on this is Dangerous Imagination, Silent Assimilation by Cara St Louis and Harald Kautz-Vella who goes more into the chem trails and black goo aspects from a scientific point of view.

Update from 2019: David Icke and Jeff Rense talk about AI and nano-tech The A.I. End Game

It now appears that 5G and the IoT (Internet of Things) is almost upon us and part of this agenda!

Paris-COP21 – the alternative

Many environmental activists from around the world are here in Paris to mark this 21st round of Conference of the Parties, sponsored mainly by the fossil fuel lobby. We do not have hopes that they will change from their agenda of business as usual. This is a growing movement of grassroots groups who will be taking action.
D12 Red Lines happened after all the recent negotiations with police,
because thousands of people were determined to take part in the protest, due to not enough being done by politicians after 21 years of meeting on this subject.
During the week many groups representing indigenous communities who were the most affected by the extractive fossil fuel industries demonstrated their frustrations with governmental processes and were removed from the Solutions conference centre by security men. Even groups like 350.org and journalists were removed from the area for questioning the status quo!
It is very apparent that mainstream media is not reporting any dissenting voices, so it is important that the voices of communities that want to protect the land are heard.
It is good that alternative media are documenting the people’s version of what is happening in Paris alongside the ‘official’ media, which includes the New Internationist and Democracy Now.
Most importantly is that the movement for global justice and climate is connecting and what is becoming clear is that it is system change that’s needed, which makes all people inclusive and that much must be done to protect the most vulnerable. We all live on this planet and will all suffer from the consequences of inaction!
We must not stand by and let this destruction continue, it is time for change!

From Gill in Manchester who wrote: Climate change affects every single person and species on this Planet Earth. I pledge on behalf of myself, my children, my grandchildren and every other person on this planet that I will do my best to find the perfect solution to us all, animal, vegetable and human, living in peace. By living in peace then our climate and our planet will be peaceful. Peace is the solution. Peace Be With You.

Thank you Gill, Bless you.

So Be It

Global Citizens Climate Summit 6th December, 2015

I travelled to Paris yesterday and so I didn’t arrive at the Citizens Climate Summit until the last speeches after visiting Alternatiba. It was difficult to find the building from that area as many people that I asked didn’t know here it was being held.

Naomi Klein was speaking when I arrived and I managed to film the last part of her speech which is available on Bambuser/HilsView

I will be seeing her on Monday evening for her conversation with Jeremy Corbyn with the unions.

Bombshell: The Turkish Assault on Russia’s SU-24 was Guided by U.S. Air Force [Boeing E-3 Sentry AWACS radar plane]

Russia Insider reports that the ambush on the Russian U-24 bomber was guided by the US Airforce.
In an interview with the Russian news agency Regnum, a Russian military expert said that “A US Air Force Boeing E-3 Sentry AWACS plane took off on 24 November from the Preveza airbase in Greece.
A second E-3A of the Saudi Arabian air force took off from the Riyadh airbase.
Both planes were executing a common task—determining the precise location of Russian aircraft. It is they that picked the “victim.”
The American E-3A was supposed to determine the activity of the Su-24M2′s onboard targeting radar, to determine if it was in search mode or if it had already locked on to a target and was processing launch-data. It is known that the AWACS can direct the activity of aircraft in battle, conveying information to their avionics and flight computers.
The expert went on explaining the technical details of how the US and Saudi AF planes guided the Turkish F-16s to a sure missile launch in ‘target illumination’ mode, meaning that the radar was turned off as soon as the missile locket into its target.

Climate March in London for start of COP21 – 29/11/15

Today people gathered in Park Lane opposite Hyde Park for the Climate Justice and Jobs March.  We had some powerful voices representing our global society which feels threatened by climate change and lack of action. Politicians from Liberal Democrats, Labour and Green Party but none from our Conservative government who had been invited. We heard speakers from nations most affected especially Global South and in spite of the rain our spirits were lifted by standing in solidarity. It was good to see the thousands who had made the effort to be there and to see the children’s involvement too! The rain didn’t last long and the wind became strong from time to time. Much creativity went into some costumes, animal masks and banners. We enjoyed the carnival atmosphere with the drumming and the Nanas singing new and familiar anti-fracking songs!

It is time for people’s voices to be heard and our problems are all inter-related. Plans for a Citizens Summit and other events in Paris alongside #COP21 are going ahead.

I did some livestreaming on Bambuser/HilsView #ClimateMarch includes the speakers.
